Students may begin a course whenever they choose, and may get assistance from their instructors by e-mail at any time. A student will study the lesson material, then complete assignments and quizzes, submitting them to their instructor. Instructors grade the work and return comments by e-mail. If the student’s work is satisfactory, the student will receive the next lesson, usually within 5-7 business days.
Earning a certificate means you have successfully completed the course and acquired the specialized knowledge it implies. Knowledge applied to a purpose is true power; and the purpose of Equine Studies education is to advance and insure the well being of horses and the skills of horsemen. Those who possess the knowledge have the power to make significant contributions within all segments of the world of horses.
Students may begin courses at any time, and take one or more courses at the same time and of their own choosing.
Equine Studies Institute equine courses have a completion deadline of one (1) year from the time of enrollment in a specific course. The student may petition for an extension. Requests for extensions must be submitted in writing (email is accepted – studentadvisor@equinestudiesinstitute.org). Extension requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
“Being online makes the courses convenient and affordable, but not easy. Our instructors insist on mastery of the subject, insuring their personal integrity and the competency of the student,” said Eleanor Blazer, president of Equine Studies Institute. Equine Studies Institute has been involved with equine care and training education for more than 30 years, starting as a publisher of horse books and short courses.
Equine Studies Institute curriculum is designed to be practical and applicable to all equestrian disciplines. The focus of Equine Studies Institute curriculum is the eventual success of the individual student within all facets of the horse industry.
